Engineering Manager, S.W. England. £43,000 to £48,000 + pension + medical.

An engineering manager is required by a leading food manufacturer based in the SW of England.

This award winning food manufacturer are currently undertaking an expansion project and as such, are lookig for an experienced engineering manager to head up their maintenance team as well as oversee new projects on the site.

As a multiskilled engineer, you will have had experience of working to planned, preventative maintenance schedules as well as reactive maintenance in a live food/drink manufacturing site.

You will manage a small team of specialist engineers on a 2 shift rotation (your role will not be shift based) and be responsible for motivation and effective co-ordination of the engineering maintenance function to ensure smooth running of the plant.

Your engineering knowledge will also be utilised as you consult and oversee new projects as the site continues to be upgraded.

This is a career position for an experienced engineering manaufacturer with extensive FMCG manufacturing plant experience. As mentioned, ongoing plant projects make this a more challenging post than perhaps a purely maintenance based role but engineering maintenance will be the core function.

Skills:

Food/Drink/FMCG Engineering Manager
Good knowledge of PPM
Ideally multiskilled
Strong people management skills
Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience.
