Regional contractor, Cornwall based is looking for a Performance Supervisor to oversee and supervise their own in-house trades team in terms of their incentivised pay scheme.  This role is a new post designed to control expenditure on wages, ensuring that all claims for payment are justified and correct as half of the tradesman salaries are paid by incentive.  This will suit someone with a trades background who has worked in a supervisor capacity, who is good with figures and systems, at time checking work and at times dealing with disputes.

 

This role will involve:

 



- Daily contact with workforce operatives in relation to work completed

- Daily contact with staff in the Building Services Admin Team and Payroll in relation to wage calculations

- Ensure that all claims for payment by operatives working are correct

- To ensure current policies and procedures are being followed

- To be the first point of contact for operatives who are disputing their wage calculations and resolving any potential disputes.

- To provide monthly reports on incentives paid

- The post-holder is expected to be proactive in identifying how services, designs and procedures in such scheme

- Going to site and checking works with tenant liason  

You will need: 

·        Qualification in a relevant building trade to NVQ3, HNC in building construction or equivalent

·        Full driving license

·        5 Years trade experience

·        Preferably at least 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity

·        Understanding of how to deliver company profits

·        Interpersonal and social skills

·        Numeracy skills and computer literate

·        Negotiating skills

·        Ability to work as part of a team

·        Good computer skills

·        Firm commitment to target setting and monitoring

·        Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
