We are looking for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to work with individual children and within small groups who have previous experience of working with children who have ESBD/challenging behaviour. Under the direction of the class teacher you will be introducing tasks, monitoring pupils work and using a range of strategies to support their learning.

Ideally the successful candidate will be qualified to NVQ Level 2/3. It is essential that you have relevant recent experience in an educational setting and supportive working environment. You will need to be patient and empathetic towards pupils and have a genuine interest in working with SEN students.

You will need to have excellent communication skills and be confident in dealing with external agencies. You will be able to work on your own initiative and be confident in your knowledge of core subjects (English, Maths and Science).
