BRIEF HISTORY

I bought her as a kit from the previous owner who had spent £11,000 over 11 years making her hull sound by replacing planking / recaulking / reseating the keel / new sails / engine rebuild / new centreboard / new rudder etc.

'Coronette' was bought by me in 2003, refurbished completely and upgraded (photos available) , then sailed around brittany 2004 - including Brest and Douarnenez festivals, refitted that winter with new modern engine then sailed to scotland and back in 2005.

Since then she's been a day / weekend sailer and now resides on a beach mooring in Millbrook, Cornwall. She is a fine sturdy boat that will look after you, and she's admired every where she goes. Unfortunately due to work committments, I'm selling up and she has to go to a new owner who can look after her in my absence.

She comes with Boxes of history such as Sailing Logs from 1965, 66, 67 written by one her long line of distinguished gentlemen owners. Original Line drawings and a few books. Spares and allsorts of odds and sods.

SAILS

RIG

Mast stripped of metalwork and epoxy painted / enamel top coat
Replaced Galv wire rigging in 2006
All brackets over strengthened and regalvanised
8 x chain plates fitted to take stress of rigging into hull timbers
All running rigging leads to cockpit for easy single manning
Bowsprit added to (reduce weather helm, (ii) aid tacking of jib, (iii) stop staysail sucking in jib when close hauled

HULL

Mahogany Planking on Double Oak Frames
New (expensive) Bronze Bolts holding Hull to Internal Timbers
Doghouse raised and rebuilt slightly larger / stronger
New bronze windows in Doghouse with strengthened tinted glass
Deck stripped back and epoxy sheathed throughout, epoxy coated
2 x Larch legs for when drying out

CABIN

Centreboard Casing rebuilt with Marine Ply and Seasoned Oak
Cabin fitted out with chunky seasoned oak
New Gas Cooker + Solid Fuel Stove / Heater
Chart Table to hold charts / some electrics
Fore Cabin has 1 bunk and room for 1 other when desperate (I use this space for sails / tools / spares but could easily be converted to make a double bunk).
Heads up the front (needs a new valve).
20 ingots of lead sealed down under the floor as extra ballast

DINGHY

Purpose Built made with expensive plywood / stitch and epoxy glue
Dinghy fits snugly on cabin top behind mast
