My client is a busy seafront hotel in Falmouth seeking an experienced Commis Chef to join their brigade and add to the success of this kitchen.
The role of Commis will involve assisting with starters and desserts, veg prep, ensuring high cleanliness standards are met, carrying out tasks set by Chef and Chef de Parties and showing the passionate attitude to learn.
Working hours will be on average between 45/50 a week and will get reviewed on a regular basis to ensure your developing your culinary ability in the right direction.
Chef will also encourage you to gain your NVQ 3 as they work with the local colleges. This can be obtained whilst working under them or on day release, so chefs who already have their NVQ 2 - this is definitely a position worth applying for.
Experience required would be around 6 months but those chefs really wanting a passionate career move please still apply.
For the right person a starting salary on offer is up to £13,500 per annum with additional tips available.
