Vacancy Description: Restaurant Assistant Manager
Start Date: immediately
Hourly Pay Rate/Salary: starting at £8.00 per hour during 3-6 month training period then £20,000 GBP per year plus benefits
Working Hours: around 40-50 hours per week
Holidays: a pro rata share of 28 days per year
Accommodation: can be provided at a low cost plus electricity (inclusive of share of rates and water rates) Subsidised meals available while working.
English Language Requirements: Czech Match Level 3 or better (CEF B1 or better)
5: totally fluent, both written and oral including reading, people can really think in the language
4: very good (also upper intermediate to some of you) generally almost fluent, speaks well, reads and writes very well, but probably still thinks in own language and then translates in head into English

2: some use, can speak enough to get by and maybe can read some but probably cant write it

The clients operate restaurants in South Devon, a very popular part of Devon and Cornwall, the most south-west region of England. This area is also very popular for its language schools during the summer months, is home to the Royal Naval College and is a general tourist holiday destination within the UK.
The clients require a candidate with at least 2 years previous experience of working in the fish and chip/restaurant industry and s/he must have a good understanding of both spoken and written English. The candidate must have experience of griddle/short order cooking and have the appropriate hygiene certificates.
S/he will work in the restaurant, serving patrons, bringing food to and clearing food away from the tables, in the kitchens doing cooking, preparation and cleaning. S/he may also be required to assist in the client’s sandwich/coffee shop including making sandwiches, cleaning and setting tables, serving and clearing food, washing dishes and generally all duties normally associated with a coffee shop, fast food outlet or restaurant.
Devon is accessible by road, bus and train (Totnes and Paignton are the local stations) from London and Southampton and there is an airport at Bristol providing links to other airports within the UK and overseas.
