A new vacancy has opened for a Senior Social Worker to help manage this Children and Families Team.

As a senior member of the team, your experiences and knowledge of the needs of young children, young people and their parents/carers will be highly regarded and utilised. Dealing with the more complex and sensitive cases, you will develop holistic social care practice, identify service enhancements and provide specialist advice and supervision for a small number of staff.

Confident in your abilities and knowledge of relevant legislation, you will have a detailed understanding of the framework for assessment and methods of social work intervention. You must also have the ability to motivate staff whilst managing your own workload effectively.

To become successful in this position you will need to have a social work qualification and present registration with the GSCC.

This is a contract post which is set to last around 6 months. The pay rate will be set at about £25.00 per hour not including the various expenses.
