Q: Hollywood Jigsaw, what's that?

A: It's a make-over and photo shoot Star Machine, and also my company. I specialise in vintage Hollywood style portrait photography which emulates Hollywood's Golden Age (from the 1920s to 1950s). Fancy being Joan Crawford? Or Marlene Dietrich? Or maybe Clark Gable or Cary Grant? No problem!

Q: What happens there?

A: Well, we'll have an initial informal consultation about the look you're going for, don't worry if you're not sure as I can suggest a style that would suit you, or you could take a look at my 'look books'. Then if you're interested we'll make an appointment for you to come to my friendly and relaxed home studio for your make over and photo shoot.

Q: Tell me about the photo shoot.

A: This is the bit I love! After a complimentary glass of bubbly (or soft drink if you prefer) I will start the business of making you look divine. After your make over we'll begin the photo shoot, using my large collection of vintage accessories and props. The shoot is completely interactive, I really value your input as each shoot is totally unique to you. No 'conveyor belt ' poses here! Every aspect (angles, lighting, poses) is tailored to showing you off to your absolute best and bringing out your inner Movie Star .

Q: Can I bring a friend?

A: Of course! Above all, Hollywood Jigsaw shoots are great fun so why not bring a friend along? Because each session usually takes around two to three hours (including makeover), I will only be able to photograph one person at a time but spectators are most welcome.

Q: And after the shoot?

A: Soon after the shoot, usually approximately a week later, I will send you a contact sheet of between 20 to 40 unedited images. After you've chosen the images you like I will edit them (each image usually takes several hours to edit) and aim to have your finished prints to you within three weeks. I have various packages available and we can discuss which one best suits your needs. Prices start at £80.00 for the whole Hollywood Jigsaw experience, including one 10 x 8 inch fully edited image.
