This course is aimed at beauty professionals with a qualification in beauty wishing to progress into photographic work. On the course you will learn the techniques necessary for applying make-up to the client for photographic purposes. Models are provided for you to work on and rotated between students, all work is photographed using Nikon photographic equipment. All courses are acreditted by The Professional Guild of Beauty Therapsists for insurance to practise.

Pre-requisites: Cosmetic makeup certificate, Introduction to Makeup certificate, Beauty Therapy or mature candidate with relevant experience.

All our courses are accredited, approved and recognised by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists for insurance purposes and students successfully completing our courses can apply for membership of the Guild and use the initials M.P.G.B.T.

Each class is structured to give optimal tuition in make-up artistry. They begin with theory, then a demonstration and follow with the practical. Students are given hand outs on relevant areas and are encouraged to take notes. All demo’s and work created by students are photographed using Nikon photographic equipment in the training room and a hard copy is provided for use in your portfolio. By doing this our students leave our courses with the basis of a professional portfolio to industry standard allowing them to promote themselves and gain work. All materials, tools and products required to complete the course are supplied for general use, during the practical sessions.

Classes have small numbers to ensure that you are given some one to one attention. Private schools are recognised for training people in skills relevant and necessary to meet industry demands. We give the best aftercare and support to all ex-students we run 2 career workshops a year free of charge to all ex-students. You can attend both if you wish. The workshops run on a Saturday afternoon and you get the opportunity to sit with us and discuss your career development and receive advice, guidance and support from us on your career. These workshops will also keep you motivated and focused.

Each student leaves with the knowledge and skills needed to gain work, we offer job seeking guidance as an essential part of the training and support. On completion you will receive a Certificate stating which course you have attended and the components covered.

On certain courses students are assessed on their course work, to be produced in your own time and the results of their practicals and the quality of their portfolios. Students are offered the opportunity to take a test at the end of each course, to reinforce their learning of the theory, although at present, this is not mandatory.

What do you gain by training with me? You will get the most up to date knowledge of a practising Film and TV make-up artist, which is fundamentally different from that of a full-time beauty therapy college lecturer that may not have current practical knowledge of the media industry and may not be able to provide this level of guidance. I have fourteen years experience working as a certified C.I.P.D Training and Development professional.

Your certificate will state that you have been trained by me and you will be able to refer your potential clients, to my work, so that they are confident in your ability to deliver the components from the courses that you attend. I will not issue a course certificate until I am happy with your results, as I will only put my name to work that I am satisfied is of the highest standard.
