Plymouth Liberal Democrats are recruiting a number of voluntary interns to assist with the local By-election in the Ward of Ham, Plymouth that will take place on Thursday 3rd September.
Role: You will be trained to canvass voters on the doorstep as part of a by-election campaigns team with and for the party candidate. You will be helping as part of the campaigns team in the delivery of election material to the ward and promoting the Liberal Democrat message. You will be trained in telephone canvassing constituents and given the opportunity to take part in a polling day operation from start to finish to include committee room work; electioneering strategy; polling day software and be involved in getting the residents of Ham to go out and vote on polling day.
Person specification: Energetic, enthusiastic well presented leader who is sympathetic to the aims and principles of the Liberal Democrat Party and able to commit to a full time / flexible schedule in particular during the hours of 5-8:30 pm from now until polling day on 3rd September. Those able to commit for only a portion of the campaign will also be considered.
All volunteers will be provided with a works reference from the local party for their help.
We are recruiting now for an immediate start to join our campaigns team.
